First Web Series

Base Models: March 12, 2013 8:42 am

I spent some time creating base models for the series.  These models will be used to quickly create the characters.  I will start off building the extras and if that goes smooth I will try to build the cast members from the base, but I'm anticipating I will have to model the cast from scratch so that they will have clean and unique looks.

I followed David Ward's box modeling technique form Johnny Blender 2.0.  I refined it a bit for a cartoonish character.

I put this up on BlenderArtist.org for feed back.  Check it out if you want to share your thoughts.  Base Model Feedback

Some Concepts: March 6, 2013 4:48 pm

I've done a few sketches and I'm thinking I'll do semi-cartoon characters.  They will have outfits similar to present day, but with a futuristic look.  This will help with rendering times.  I want to do hair particles, but I am still debating.

Here are some of the sketches I did.

Concept Art Started: March 4, 2013 5:06 am

I spent the last week review the script and feel I have a good starting point.  Now I can move forward with doing some concept art.

This is one of my oldest stories.  The idea has stayed basically the same, but it has grown a lot over the decades.

It started off as a comic book in a universe created by myself and a friend.  I have written and drawn several comic book versions and I have written a couple of scripts.

I'm hoping this version will take off.

I completed the first draft of season 1 (45 episodes) about half a year ago.  The plan was to show 1 (7 minute episode) per week.

It's a lot of work and seems impossible for 1 person, but I'm going to give it a try.
